En el arte en general, e inclusive en el diseño, las grandes creaciones son producto de un momento de iluminación, donde el artista tiene una rayo de inspiración y produce una obra increíble; no es el caso de la “chair one”, donde su creador, el diseñador alemán Konstantin Grcic, se sumergió en un trabajo de investigación, en el que descubrió, tanto un diseño vanguardista, cómodo y ergonómico, como un material ligero, resistente y práctico.
Este ebanista, formado en Inglaterra, y diseñador industrial, ofrece una propuesta que muchas veces es catalogada como minimalista, aunque éste, prefiere hablar de simplicidad, dándole un tono más austero a su trabajo; y es que su genialidad, radica en su sencillez y versatilidad, es una pieza que habla por sí sola, y viste cualquier espacio, capta el interés de la mirada, por su diseño y dinamismo.
En rojo, negro y blanco, esta singular obra, es un aporte al diseño, casi una escultura increíblemente funcional y estética, de aluminio fundido a presión, aportándole ligereza y uniformidad en el acabado, la superficie es tratada además con titanio fluorizado y lacado poliéster, esta compleja combinación de elementos, generan un acabado de alta factura, y cohesión.
