Es extraño conseguir elementos en el diseño de interiores (sobre todo muebles) que sean tanto útiles, cómodos y prácticos; además de llegar a ser referencia de buen gusto, elegancia y sobriedad;  entre estos extraños y únicos elementos existe uno que engloba todas estas características. Mies van der Rohe nos ha regalado una pieza única, un ícono del siglo XX capaz de englobar todas las cualidades previamente descritas.
